We are pleased to invite you to attend the 15^th Symposium SiO₂, Advanced Dielectrics and Related Devices (SiO₂-2025), taking place in the beautiful city of Saint-Étienne at the Cité du Design, France, from 24 (8:30) to 26 (12:00) in June 2025. The biennial SiO₂ symposia series is an international forum on the science and technology of silica-based systems, including new dielectrics and related device applications. The series began in 1996 in Agelonde (France) and the last conference was held in Palermo (Italy) in 2023.This year’s conference will bring together experts, researchers, and professionals from around the world to explore and discuss the latest experimental and theoretical advancements in SiO₂ and other advanced materials for photonics and microelectronics applications.

For the first time, a one-day short course will be organized the day before the start of the conference (June 23^th) at the University of Saint-Etienne (Campus Manufacture) on the topic of Multi-Scale, Multiphysics of Materials for Photonics and Microelectronics.

The local committee is constituted by people from the MOPERE group of the Laboratoire Hubert Curien of the University Jean Monnet of Saint-Etienne. Continuing the tradition of this symposium, after the successful last edition in Palermo, Italy (SiO₂ 2023), the main topics will be:

• Electronic and atomic structures of materials
• Optical and electronic properties of materials
• Defect generation and transformation
• Radiation (including laser) effects on materials
• Materials for dosimetry
• Functionalization of materials
• Fiber optics and fiber-based devices
• Microelectronic devices
• New theoretical and experimental tools and techniques for material’s study
• Nanomaterials and nanocomposites for applications in electronics, photonics and optoelectronics

We are welcoming both oral and poster presentations of your last research.

Please note that the full version of the accepted abstracts will be eligible for submission (regular peer-review process) to a special issue of the Wiley physics journal  physica status solidi (a) – applications and materials science devoted to SiO₂ 2025.
